experimented with some AGGs to open a GARIMA study centre to provide an opportunity for those rural girls who’s family conditions does not allow to purchase some competition books and magazines . This thought was shared with some retired teachers, service man and community leaders as well as the girls student from well off families. These people were advised to donate some books and magazine which was not used by them. Smt. Shyamkali a retired school principal came forward along with her friend Smt. Jagwanti Devi and donated number of story books and magazine to Nidhi GARIMA Prabodhini Kishori Samuh. Smt. Prabha Devi an Aganwadi worker provided a room for the study centre. Girls made sign boards on hard board and that was opening of GARIMA KISHORI ADHYAN Kendra. The AGS are now very happy to have such a separate study centres which is run and managed by them. Girls have made some rules to smoothly run their centre. Some of them is as below-
Girls will have to pay Rs. 1 as a fee for a week if they issue the books.
Girls will contribute some amount equally from their pocket money when they have to purchase new magazine.
Sunday which is a cultural day for this centre, the AGG members will essentially come on this day to the centre and participate in cultural programme.
The retired school principal Smt. Shyamkali also joined the centre happily.
